Sledgehammer Working On Next Call of Duty

by Gizzle / Wednesday, 07 December 2011 / Published in Gaming

It comes as no surprise that there’s another Call of Duty game in the works, but the oddball here is where the ‘help wanted’ call is coming from. Sledgehammer’s hiring for “an unannounced high-end console title”, and that’s all while Treyarch’s working on Call of Duty 9. Could it be Call of Duty 10? My, my.

The engineer chosen will take Call of Duty’s “online experience to a new level”, and create “Multiplayer game modes and online community features”.

It was rumored earlier that Activision was looking into a 3-year development cycle by adding Sledgehammer to the franchise’s list of developers, which would then give each studio, Treyarch, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer three years each to develop their respective games.
